Cafe Laguna (Indian Fry Bread)

Cafe Laguna is located off of Power and Baseline in Mesa, AZ. We first heard about Cafe Laguna through a magazine ad. We decided to give it a try. The menu has a couple different options. You can go with the original frybread or corn shell tacos that come with beans, chicken, seasoned beef, cheese, etc. You can even have a dessert fry bread with powdered sugar, honey, cherries, apples, etc.

I decided to go with the original frybread with seasoned ground beef and beans. I chose the refried beans. It was then topped with lettuce, sour cream, tomatoes, & cheese. I put plenty of hot sauce on it and dug in. It was a little difficult to eat but was very delicious. The frybread was soft and cooked right in front of you. The beef was excellent and the toppings were fresh. However, after eating the entire serving I felt like taking a nap. Unfortunately I had to go back to work.

Cafe Laguna is a good restaurant that serves something different. I would recommend you giving it a try. Of course you may have to spend a few hours in the gym after working it all of, but it may be worth it.
