Pei Wei is a superb Asian diner much like that of P.F. Chang’s Bistro however half the price. I am a big fan of Asian food, particularly orange chicken, so every time the boss decides to cater in Pei Wei I’m pretty excited. On top of catering Pei Wei also offers restaurant dining. There restaurants are also very similar to P.F. Chang’s Bistro, complete with Asian decor and dimmed lighting. Now lets talk about the food..

Pei Wei offers a variety of different menus including a take out menu, restaurant menu, and a gluten-free menu. The take out menu is very similar to the restaurant menu however it has a few less items. The gluten-free menu is recommend for those with a intolerant diet. Usually when I go into the restaurant I order the orange chicken. It comes in a enormous proportion complete with Chile-bean sauce, orange peel, scallion, garlic, snap peas, and carrots. The chicken is deliciously seasoned with perhaps the best Chile-bean sauce while the orange peels add just the right amount of extra flavor. I really don’t think you can go wrong with ordering the orange chicken at Pei Wei, its fantastic.

When ever we cater Pei Wei into the office we usually get a bunch of different entrees. Orange chicken, Mongolian, sweet & sour, and Mandarin kung pao are a few of the office favorites. The cater proportions are enormous just like in the restaurant and at the end of the day we are usually left fight about who’s taking home what. Pei Wei’s catering lives up to the standards of the restaurant in that the food taste just like it would being served to you at the diner. To say the least, I enjoy getting out of the office for lunch however I wouldn’t mind catering in Pei Wei a little more.

If I were to put Pei Wei on a scale it would look something like this: #3 P.F. Chang’s Bistro, #2 Panda Express, and #1 Pei Wei. The reason being - P.F. Chang’s Bistro has excellent food but it comes with a price. Although a lot of people do not enjoy Panda Express, I do. It comes at a fairly reasonable price with quality food, for a “fast food” restaurant. Last but not least Pei Wei takes the cake. The food is excellent and the prices are extremely reasonable for what you get. If you haven’t been to Pei Wei yet and enjoy fine Asian food I highly recommend Pei Wei!
